About ApexHunt
ApexHunt (apexhunt.ai) is an AI-powered job-search system for senior professionals in Australia. It is independently built and run in Melbourne by its founder, Hillel Lithwick, and is not affiliated with any other product or company using a similar name.
To be specific, because the name is shared: ApexHunt has no connection to apexhunt.org, to any “ApexHunt” or “Apex Hunt” app on the App Store or Google Play (there is no ApexHunt mobile app; it runs in the browser), to the browser extension of the same name, or to Apex Legends or any game, hunting, outdoor or footwear brand. Its only properties are apexhunt.ai and its LinkedIn page.
What it does
ApexHunt scores your CV against real job ads, shows you an honest gap analysis of where you genuinely fall short, checks your ATS keyword coverage, and produces tailored CVs and cover letters grounded only in your real experience. The order matters: diagnosis first, writing second. Most AI tools will write you a nicer letter; ApexHunt first tells you whether the application is worth your evening.
How the scoring works
For each job, a scoring rubric is extracted once from the ad and frozen. Your CV is scored against that rubric by two independent AI assessments whose results are merged conservatively: where they disagree on a requirement, the score resolves downward, and an ATS keyword only counts when both assessments agree it is present. Totals are computed in code, not by a model. The same frozen rubric scores the before and after of every CV rewrite, which is what lets us publish measured results rather than claims: see our before-and-after tailoring data and what Australian senior job ads actually ask for.
What it refuses to do
Generated documents never invent experience. Claims are bounded by your own CV and the background you have explicitly confirmed; the letter generator is built to prefer an honest gap over a fabricated capability. The scoring is deliberately conservative for the same reason: a flattering number you cannot defend in an interview is worth less than a lower one you can. Users tell us the honesty is the point. The one public testimonial on our homepage says exactly that, in its author's own words.
Who it is for
Senior professionals in Australia: Head of, Director, General Manager, VP and CXO level, across retail, ecommerce, marketing, technology, operations, finance and beyond. Many users are employed and quietly open to a better role, which is why discretion is a design constraint: your data is used only to generate your own outputs, is never used to train models, and can be fully deleted, with the specifics in our Privacy Policy.
